The Laws

These rules are not guidelines. They are how the throne is decided. Playing King of Net means you accept them, along with the Terms, Privacy, and Refunds pages.

1. I

   This is a status game

   King of Net is a status game. It is not an election. It is not a bank. It is not a contest with a cash prize. The throne is bragging rights. Votes are not a civic count. Tribute is not a deposit, not a balance, and not a ticket that pays you back.

2. II

   Anyone may participate

   A person, a company, a business, a brand, or anyone else may claim a crown. You may represent yourself or any person or brand. There is no membership, no invitation, and no category of player that is barred. The throne does not ask who you are. It only ranks Power.

3. III

   One King

   Every participant may claim a crown. A website or social link is required — no nameless, unlinked crowns. There is only one King. The King is the crown with the highest Power. Everyone else is the court.

4. IV

   Outperform, or stay below

   To take the throne you must strictly outperform the current King. Equal Power is not enough. Ties keep the sitting King.

5. V

   Power is public math

   Power = votes + dollars of tribute. One vote is worth $1. Both numbers are always shown. There is no hidden multiplier.

6. VI

   Earned or Bought

   If votes exceed dollars, the crown is marked Earned. If dollars are greater than or equal to votes, it is marked Bought. The badge is public. Buying the throne does not hide the receipts.

7. VII

   One King. One vote. Forever.

   You vote once. That vote is for one crown only. You cannot vote for everyone. You cannot change it. You cannot take it back. You may vote for yourself; that is still your only vote.

8. VIII

   No accounts. No downvotes.

   There is no sign-up. Crowns are claimed with a name. There are no downvotes, no vote reversals, and no second chances.

9. IX

   The manage link is the key

   When you claim a crown you receive a secret manage URL. It is shown once. Anyone who has it can edit the name. If you lose it, it is not recovered. That is the cost of no accounts.

10. X

    Tribute is not a prize

    Money paid is tribute to the throne, kept by the site. It is not paid to the King. It is not a pot. It is not refundable. It does not entitle you to winnings. It only adds Power.

11. XI

    Challenge at eighty percent

    When any other crown reaches 80% of the King’s Power, the King is challenged. The banner is public: YOU HAVE BEEN CHALLENGED. Dethroning still requires strictly more Power.

12. XII

    The court does not vanish

    A dethroned King keeps their crown, their votes, and their tribute. They return to the court. Rank is by Power. Only #1 is King.
